Man Attacked With Unknown Weapon On Shoreline Drive
LBPD officers are investigating a sudden attack that occurred near the docks on Shoreline Drive Sunday night.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach Police Department officers are investigating a sudden attack that occurred near the docks on Shoreline Drive Sunday night.
According to LBPD, officers received a report of an assault near the 400 block of Shoreline Drive at 10:52 p.m. When officers arrived, they said they found a man with superficial wounds to his upper body.
Long Beach Fire Department paramedics treated the man's injuries at the scene, but he refused to be taken to a hospital police said.

The victim told police that he was walking in the area of the boat docks when a man came up to him and physically assaulted him. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
"The victim realized he was bleeding, and had sustained injuries from an unknown weapon," LBPD said in a statement.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and the motive for the attack was unknown.
