Man Stabbed Near MacArthur Park In Long Beach

A man was non-fatally stabbed near MacArthur park Wednesday night, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man was non-fatally stabbed near MacArthur park Wednesday night, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

At about 7:51 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing report at the intersection of Gundry Avenue and 14th Street. When they arrived, officers helped treat a man who had many non-life-threatening stab wounds in his upper body, LBPD said.

Long Beach Fire Department paramedics transported the man to a local hospital to provide further medical aid.

"The victim refused to provide a specific location and was uncooperative with any further investigation," LBPD said in a statement.

Authorities said both the suspect's identity and the motive for the incident is under ongoing investigation.
