Official Statement By City Of Long Beach On Court's Ruling In Favor Of The County On The Measure A Lawsuit

Earlier this year, a lawsuit was filed challenging the County of Los Angeles’ cost and methodology for a recount of the City’s Measure A ballot initiative. After hearing arguments, the Court sided with the County, upholding the standards and process required to challenge the count of a successful ballot measure. The City of Long Beach is pleased with the Court’s ruling, and thanks the Court and the County of Los Angeles for their work on this case. This action resolves the legal dispute related to the extension of voter-approved Measure A, a historic investment in Infrastructure and public safety in the City of Long Beach.
