Several Firearms Stolen From Long Beach Home Prompts SWAT Response
A report of a man with a gun in the Los Cerritos neighborhood led police to discover multiple guns stolen from a home, authorities said.
LONG BEACH, CA — A report of a man with a gun in the Los Cerritos neighborhood led police to discover multiple guns stolen from a home on Tuesday night, authorities said.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers received a call about a man walking in the 3600 block of Pacific Avenue with a gun at about 6:19 p.m. When LBPD arrived at the scene, officers found a man that matched the description of the suspect given by the calling party, authorities said.
Preliminary investigation results suggest that the man, who was identified as 31-year-old Joshua Jackson, allegedly broke into an unoccupied home and stole several guns inside. All of the stolen firearms were recovered by officers, LBPD said.

In response to the report, the LBPD SWAT team was activated to search and clear the residence.
Jackson was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary and grand theft and his bail was set at $50,000, according to LBPD.
