Stabbing Victims Restrain Suspect Until Long Beach Police Arrive
Long Beach police said two victims caught a man vandalizing a vehicle and confronted him, which resulted in a stabbing.

LONG BEACH, CA — Two men were stabbed after they confronted a suspect who was vandalizing a vehicle, according to Long Beach police.
The Long Beach Police Department responded to a report of a burglary at about 8:55 p.m. on Monday in the 1400 block of East 9th Street. When police arrived they found two men restraining a suspect, all with stab wounds.
Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took all three men to a hospital to treat their wounds and the suspect was arrested safely.

According to detectives, the victims saw the suspect vandalizing a vehicle and confronted him. The victims told police the suspect attacked them with a knife during a physical altercation.
"The victims restrained the suspect until police arrived and took the suspect into custody," LBPD said in a statement.

The suspect was identified as Juan Carlos Marquez, 40 of Norwalk, who was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and assault with a deadly weapon. Marquez's bail was set at $240,000.
