1 Dead, 3 Injured In Dog Attack In Los Angeles County

LANCASTER, CA — A man was killed and three people were injured in a dog attack in Lancaster Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

According to CBS2, which first reported the fatality, a pitbull was behind the attack.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department received a report of four people injured in a dog attack just after 3:10 p.m. in an RV encampment in the area of 20th Street West and Avenue G in Lancaster, near the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway. Paramedics arrived to find one person unconscious and not breathing, CBS2 reported.

It wasn't immediately clear if the man died from injuries suffered in the attack or a medical emergency that occurred simultaneously.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed paramedics took one patient to a hospital.
