3 Killed, 2 Injured In Arcadia House Fire
One person died trying to save two others from the blaze. Firefighters found their bodies on the staircase.
ARCADIA, CA — Three people were killed and two others injured in a house fire Tuesday morning in Arcadia. One of the victims died trying to save others, according to witnesses and multiple reports.
Firefighters were called to the scene in the 5300 block of Tyler Avenue just after 1 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Firefighter Department.
They arrived to find a home and attached garage engulfed in flames. As crews battled the blaze, they rescued two people and discovered three bodies.

One person died rushing up the stairs to try to save two people trapped on the second floor, FOX11 Los Angeles reported. The Good Samaritan's body was found along with two others on the staircase, the outlet reported.
Authorities were not able to determine the genders and ages of the victims.

The fire was believed to have started in the garage, and arson investigators remained at the scene Tuesday.
Information was not immediately available on the identities of the people who died. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
