9-Year-Old SoCal Football Player Inks 6-Figure Deal: Report

Ghalee Wadood Jr.​, the Snoop Dogg's Youth Football League MVP, became the youngest youth league player to land such a deal.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A nine-year-old Southern California boy has become the first and youngest youth league football player to land a six-figure deal with a sports agency, it was reported Friday.

Ghalee Wadood Jr., the Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football League MVP, signed a name, image and likeness (NIL) deal, his father told KTLA.

Ghalee Wadood Sr., an associate manager for high school football with the Los Angeles Rams called his son a “standout 9-year-old athlete who excels in football, baseball, track and karate.”

“It’s kinda surreal,” he said of the deal. “It’s humbling and exciting for [the agency] to see his potential and want to manage him.”

Wadood Jr. is a first-year tackle football player, barely old enough to comprehend the significance of the deal.

Wadood Sr. told KTLA his son didn't know what a sports agency was, but one thing he understands loud and clear: six figures is a lot of money for a kid.
