Akash OP Aurora On How To Build Your Business

Akash OP Aurora talks about the how you should go about building your business.

Running a business is not easy, and starting one is more of a challenge. Yet, what you have to remember is that there are over 28 million small businesses in the United States. You won’t be the first or last person to build a business from scratch. If you want to be one of the million that succeed, then pay attention, because it won’t be easy.

Don’t Build Outside Your Means

Since you are starting from the ground up it is better to work within your means That means don’t pay an obscene amount of money for a logo and don’t purchase an excessive amount of inventory or rack up a credit card bill in the tens of thousands. While you want to be optimistic about your business’s chances, more than 90% of businesses end up a bust. If worse comes to worst and you are one of them, you don’t want to find yourself in massive debt.

Instead, start with what you have. Make a logo through free tools online such as Shopify or Spaces, both programs known for their ease of use. They allow you to add your business’ name and from there you can add shapes or templates from their libraries to create the logo you want.

After your first month of sales, evaluate what sold the most. Make informed decisions when you stock your shop so that you don’t overspend on products you don’t need or won’t be able to move.

Find A Problem And Solve It

Businesses that are created to resolve issues in the community are going to stand longer than those that don’t. The reason is simple. When you solve a common problem, people are going to go to you when they need it fixed. Do you notice that your community is mainly populated with dog-owners, but there isn’t a single dog boarding house? If the answer to this question is yes, consider opening a kennel.

Finding what your community lacks is the first step to creating a business idea that is going to succeed. Solve an issue that you are passionate about so that you can continuously work to improve the business without getting bored.

Build Relationships

Without stable community relationships, your business will not last very long. Create connections with your customers and your sellers. Build a store that appreciates every patron, so they want to frequent your shop more often. The simplest way to do this is by listening. If a customer comes in with a complaint sincerely hear them out. Were they unsatisfied with their service or are they upset that you don’t have what they’re looking for? Take what they say to heart and implement ideas or suggestions they have. When you do this, you only expand the number of customers you can reach.

Know That You Aren’t Alone

Just because you’re building the business as a sole proprietor doesn’t mean you’re on your own. You have friends and family that want to see you go far and because of that, they are always available to talk. Don’t be afraid to reach out to someone when you need to discuss ideas or if you are stressed beyond belief and need to express your frustrations.

Don’t be afraid to confide in your workers either. As your business continues to develop, new members will join the team, and they are just as invested in seeing the store succeed. After all, they don’t want to leave a place they love working at. They are there to help you ensure everything runs smoothly.

Yes, handling a business is a challenge, but remember that there are thousands of others who are in the same boat as you and looking to make their business a success. You’ll need time and patience, but the more you work at it, the better your shop will become.
