Carved is Back Illuminating Descanso Gardens

Carved offers new surprises and enhanced experiences for visitors of all ages at Descanso Gardens.

Step into the spooky fun world of Carved to take a paved and nature pathway filled with pumpkins, Jack-o'-Lanterns, music, lights and autumn themed activations.

New this year, the model trains of the Descanso Railroad will be aglow with special lighting, and visitors will encounter a whimsical family of wood spirits, carved by Chainsaw Jenna from five massive logs, adding a playful touch to the event.

Watch professional artists carve intricate giant Jack-o’-Lanterns, and wander and spin around the stunning “Rhizome” installation by artists Tom and Lien Dekyvere.
