Driver Goes On Crash Rampage Across LA; Victims Sought: LAPD
Los Angeles police believe a man suspected of purposefully plowing into 10 cars likely has more victims.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 37-year-old man is suspected of ramming his SUV into other vehicles in a rampage extending across a swath of Los Angeles Monday, and police are looking for additional victims.
Los Angeles police are investigating the series of 10 crashes as assaults with a deadly weapon. Investigators believe Diosdado Tzintzunespindo of Temecula may have struck more cars on his path of rampage from Downtown to Echo Park and the Northeast area of the city.
"There was an arrest of an individual about 3 o'clock in the afternoon of Morton Avenue in Echo Park that is in the Elysian Park area," Police Chief Michel Moore told the city's Police Commission during Tuesday's meeting. "This individual engaged in a series of assaults with his vehicle on multiple victims throughout the Elysian Park and Chinatown areas of Los Angeles."

"We have taken a statement from him and we'll continue to investigate the circumstances. Given the traffic flows that were going on in those areas in which he moved about, we believe that it's entirely possible that there may be other victims," Moore said.
According to investigators, Tzintzunespindo deliberately rammed his silver 2004 Nissan Xterra with a license plate of 5JRT146 into other drivers and parked cars. Investigators have identified more than 13 victims, including an LAPD employee who was returning from a lunch break and a Department of Water and Power employee, Moore said.
