Driver Shot On LA County Freeway; Shooter at Large
The shooting shut down the westbound side of the Pomona (60) Freeway throughout the morning rush hour.
INDUSTRY, CA — A person was shot and wounded while driving on the Pomona (60) Freeway Thursday morning, shutting down the westbound lanes in the City of Industry. The shooter remains at large.
The shooting occurred just after 6 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway between 7th Avenue and Crossroads Parkway, according to CHP Officer Michael Nasir.
The person was rushed to the hospital by the Los Angeles County Fire Department in unknown condition. The victim was shot in the leg, KNX reported.

Video from the scene showed a white sedan pulled over on the side of the freeway.
"The Westbound lanes of the freeway were closed during a police investigation in between 7th Avenue and Crossroads Parkway while they searched for possible evidence," Nasir said.

The lanes were reopened at about 8 a.m., he added.
Authorities did not say what led up to the shooting. A suspect and vehicle description has not yet been released.
