Fashion Industry Entrepreneur Releases Book on Entrepreneurship

Deanna Hodges, a textile manufacturing entrepreneur with decades of experience, released her book, “You’re Not The Boss Of Me, I Am” to empower others to embark on the challenging yet rewarding road to entrepreneurship. The book covers the top ten lessons that she has learned through decades of experience. Hodges states, “I want to help people who want to start a business of their own- especially those who are just entering the workforce,” as it is possible that entrepreneurship is one’s first career opportunity, and the actual path to developing a career based on a person’s area of expertise and talents. Continuing, “I am an entrepreneur and have been an entrepreneur, actually since I was five years old, when my dad helped me start my own lawn mowing service. Since then I have mentored so many students and young people through the years.” It was at that point that she realized the importance of sharing her advice and stories based on her first-hand experience in a book. Continuing, “I also want to help those who want to start a small business, yet don’t know where to begin.”

Hodges, having found her entrepreneurial spirit in formidable years, continued to foster her entrepreneurial spirit throughout her life. Her textile brand over the years has encompassed more than 1000 stores worldwide. She manufactures clothing and home interior products for major brands, and has developed other brands from concept to production.
