Fire Forces Evacuation At The Natural History Museum Of LA County
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County was evacuated Friday when a fire broke out in the building's roof.
The blaze occurred in an active roofing operation at the museum in the 900 block of West Exposition Boulevard shortly after noon, said Brian Humphrey, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
"All occupants of the building were safely evacuated, and no injuries are reported," Humphrey said.

Crews quickly doused the fire in 25 minutes, he said. The fire damage was contained to the roof with some smoke in the interior of the building, he added.
