Limited-time collaboration showcases California's finest flavors

LA Prime, consistently ranked as one of the best steakhouses in Los Angeles and located on the top floor of the iconic Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites, has officially announced a unique partnership with St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, one of Sonoma Valley's most celebrated wineries. This collaboration, available February through April at LA Prime, promises a remarkable dining experience that combines the artistry of both food and wine, offering guests an unforgettable journey through the flavors of Sonoma County’s finest terroirs.

Chef Peter Janiak, Executive Chef at St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, specializes in pairing locally sourced ingredients with the vineyard’s exceptional wines, embracing balance and discovery to create memorable culinary experiences. In collaboration with Westin Bonaventure’s Executive Chef Andreas Nieto and Chef de Cuisine Anh Do, he will curate a multi-course menu that highlights California’s finest local ingredients while showcasing the sophisticated flavors of St. Francis wines.

For the months of February, March, and April, LA Prime will feature an exclusive multi-course menu carefully curated to pair with the exceptional wines of St. Francis Winery & Vineyards. Each dish will reflect the passion and craftsmanship of the chefs, creating a perfect balance of flavors that enhance the nuances of St. Francis' award-winning wines.

Dishes from Chef Janiak include Oro King salmon with celery root purée, broccolini, golden beets, fried capers, and brown butter hazelnuts, paired with Sonoma County Merlot, and duck breast with braised cabbage, farro, hakurei turnips, cauliflower, pistachio, and blackberry agrodolce, complemented by Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley.

Executive Chef Nieto and Chef de Cuisine Anh Do present a 16 oz bone-in short rib with port butter sauce and root vegetable purée, paired with Sonoma County Old Vine Zinfandel, and Wagyu & Chicory, featuring a 4 oz A5 Wagyu NY steak with grilled endive, white sweet potato purée, wagyu fat, and lemon emulsion, matched with Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley.
