LAPD Officer And Two Others Hospitalized In Burbank Blvd. Crash

The crash in the Tarzana area is the second to send an LAPD officer to the hospital within 24 hours.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Los Angeles Police officer and two other people were injured in a crash on Burbank Boulevard in Tarzana Thursday morning. It was the second crash sending an LAPD officer to the hospital within 24 hours.

The crash occurred at around 9:30 a.m. in the 18500 block of West Burbank Boulevard near the intersection of Burbank and Reseda boulevards, according to LAPD spokesman Officer Jeffrey Lee. Two vehicles were involved in the crash. The LAPD did not immediately say whether the crash involved a pursuit or any arrests.

"One officer and two civilians will be transported in fair condition to area hospitals," said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

Another LAPD officer was hospitalized Wednesday evening following a crash in South Los Angeles. In that crash involving a motorcycle officer, the officer was hospitalized in stable condition according to the LAPD.
