LAPD Officers Shoot Dog To Stop Vicious Attack

LAPD patrol officers had to shoot and kill a dog that was reportedly biting a man in the face.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles police officers shot and killed a dog as it was attacking a person in downtown Los Angeles Wednesday.

Witnesses told KTLA the dog appeared to be a pitbull, and he attacked a miniature pinscher, and then bit the little dog's owner in the face. Patrol officers came upon the scene of the attack in the area of Fifth and Crocker streets at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jeff Lee.

Officers shot the dog, killing it at the scene, and the victim was rushed to the hospital. It remained unclear who owned the pit bull as well as what prompted the attack.
