Malibu Hiker Air-Lifted To Hospital After Falling

A 73-year-old woman was rescued near Nicholas Flat Trail in Malibu after falling and injuring herself.

MALIBU, CA — A female hiker, 73, was air-lifted to a nearby trauma center after falling 25-feet over the side of Nicholas Flat Trail in Malibu, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The accident was reported at 11:55 a.m. and Malibu's city search and rescue team was deployed to the 35000 block of West Pacific Coast Highway.

First responders air-lifted the woman from the embankment by helicopter and transported her to a hospital. No further details were given on her condition.
