LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man in his 60s was beaten to death Friday morning in downtown Los Angeles.
The attack occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Seventh and Main streets, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.
An unknown suspect used an object to strike the victim several times in the head, Lopez said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was no suspect information immediately available and the attack did not appear to have been gang-related, according to Lopez.
