Man Rescued From LA River After Car Overturned Into Water

A man was rescued from the Los Angeles River on Saturday.

STUDIO CITY, CA — A 35-year-old man was rescued from the Los Angeles River in Studio City Saturday after a vehicle was found overturned in the water.

The overturned car was reported at 4:39 p.m. Saturday in the riverbed in the 4200 block of North Coldwater Canyon Avenue, at Valleyheart Drive, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.

The patient was found outside the vehicle when firefighters arrived, Lantz said. His condition was not immediately available.

No other patients or vehicles appeared to be involved, she said.

The water level appeared low in video shown on NBC4.
