Mob Of 100 People Loot LA Shopping Center After Street Takeover
A mob of around 100 people ransacked multiple businesses in a shopping plaza after a street takeover early Monday morning.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Several stores were looted early Monday morning by dozens of people following a street takeover in the Jefferson Park section of Los Angeles.
Officers responded to a burglary report about 3:25 a.m. at a shopping plaza at Western Avenue and Adams Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Multiple stores in the plaza — including a 99-cent store, a nail salon and a beauty store — were broken into by a mob of 100 people, one of the business owners told KTLA.

“There were lots and lots of people, and apparently they broke the gate into the plaza,” the business owner told the station. “Around 100 people came and stormed first into the market and then to all [the rest of] the stores.”
The woman, who owns a pizza restaurant, said the mob broke all of the doors and ransacked everything inside, causing damage to computers and a safe.
