CHATSWORTH, CA — Firefighters airlifted a lost, naked hiker from the brush in a remote corner of Chatsworth late Monday night.

It was not clear how he came to be stranded and naked in a remote area with overnight temperatures that dip near freezing.

"LAFD responded by ground and air to assist," said spokesman Nicholas Prange. "Rescuers made contact with the man, who had minor injuries, and hoisted him from the remote location."

From there, they made a "short haul" to a nearby helicopter landing area, where he was transferred to an LAFD ambulance for paramedic assessment and transport to a local hospital for further evaluation," added Prange.
