'Obsessed' Man Arrested At RFK Jr.'s LA Home Twice In 1 Day: Report
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was home both times the man trespassed and has called for Secret Service security, according to reports.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A Pacific Palisades real estate agent was arrested twice this week on suspicion of trespassing at the Brentwood home of presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife actor Cheryl Hines, according to reports.
The Los Angeles Police Department said Jonathan Macht, 28, was arrested on the 2900 block of Mandeville Canyon Road at around 9:30 a.m Wednesday on suspicion of trespassing. He was also served with an emergency protective order, Politico reported.
After he was released from custody, Macht returned to the property at around 5:45 p.m. the same day and was detained by security, Politico reported.

Police said he was then arrested a second time on suspicion of trespassing and violating the protective order, TMZ reported.
Kennedy's campaign in a statement an intruder climbed a fence at the candidate's home during the first trespassing incident. Kennedy was home at the time of both arrests.

The campaign said Kennedy's private security detail has notified the Secret Service "about this specific obsessed individual several times in recent months and shared alarming communications he has sent to the candidate."
The campaign has made several requests for a Secret Service detail in recent months and said that Biden administration officials have denied the request each time.
Kennedy, a former member of the Democratic Party, is running for president as an independent. He's become known for promoting anti-vaccination views and other conspiracies.
Kennedy's uncle, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in 1963. His father, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, was assassinated during his own presidential campaign 1968 at the Ambassador Hotel, located in what is now Koreatown in Los Angeles.
His assassin, Sirhan Sirhan, was granted parole in 2021 after serving over five decades in prison. While a parole board recommended Sirhan's release, Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2022 denied his release because he believed the assassin was a threat to public safety, he said.
