‘Patriot Pin’ Designed To Make California Compliant Guns Easier
Gun owner innovation has lead to the latest creation of the 'patriot pin' which was made to quickly disassemble California compliant AR-15s

California’s constant desire to pass gun laws has prompted many to invent devices to comply yet defy those laws. Gun owner innovation has lead to the latest creation of the ‘patriot pin’. The pin, designed by Bart McCurdy and Travis Klein, was made to quickly disassemble compliant AR-15s. As a leading Long Beach Shooting range we wanted to let everyone out there know about this handy new product.
Why
The new law passed in California redefined the classification of an assault weapon, which meant that AR-15s are now considered an assault rifle. California specific laws focused on outlawing “bullet buttons” which allowed AR-15 owners to eject spent magazines with a sharp tool. Outlawing the ‘bullet button’ meant that the only way to legally eject empty magazines would be to disassemble the rifle.

The “patriot pin” is actually faster than the bullet button and works alongside products, such as the ARMagLock. This allows owners to keep their current features, except now they won’t have to legally register them with the state.

The new design allows AR-15 owners to quickly “disassemble” their rifles in order to switch an empty magazine for a full one. Removing the pin separates the upper and lower receivers and an “ARMagLock” is pressed with the index finger and that will release the magazine. A small arm attaches to the AR’s rear pin. The gun holder can then use their thumb to remove the pin in a fluid, quick motion when necessary.
USA Made
Klein and McCurdy dedicated hundreds of hours to the research and development of the patriot pin. Every aspect of the pin is 100% American made and engineered. The pin doesn’t make AR-15s compliant with California laws. There are already several products in existence that do that, however the pin makes it quicker and easier for gun owners once their rifles are compliant.
