Pregnant Teen Stabbed While Trying To Stop A Fight
The 16-year-old girl is in stable condition after being stabbed in her side while intervening in a fight in the Westlake District.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A pregnant teen was stabbed Wednesday while intervening in a fight between to boys in the Westlake District.
The pregnant 16-year-old girl remained hospitalized in stable condition Thursday, and the fate of her unborn child was not immediately available. Police arrested a teenage boy suspected in the stabbing.
The stabbing occurred at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Wilshire Boulevard and Alvarado Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.

LAPD Officer Ray Brown said two male teens were fighting, and when the girl tried to intervene, one of the boys pulled out a knife and stabbed her.
The name of the suspect was withheld because of his age. The investigation was continuing.
