LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke has been confirmed as the buyer of the 34-acre Promenade mall in Warner Center in Woodland Hills, The Real Deal reports. The property sold last Friday for an estimated $150 million.

Though several news outlets, including the Los Angeles Times, reported that the Rams were in talks to buy the property, The Real Deal said that it was able to confirm the purchase through records recently filed with Los Angeles County.

Kroenke wants to rebuild the site as a practice facility, the Los Angeles Times reported. The Rams sometimes practice at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, but also have a training facility at UC Irvine, according to The Times.

The Times speculated that Kroenke might surround a practice facility with mixed-use development, as he did around SoFi Stadium.

The mall was built in 1973 and originally hosted stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and J.W. Robinson’s, according to The Real Deal. In recent years, as shopping malls around the country struggle, the mall is just a movie theater, post office, and some restaurants. Recent plans imagined a $1.5 billion redevelopment into residences, retail, office space, and 15,000-seat sports complex.
