Suspects In Retail Theft Ring Caught Unloading The Loot: LAPD
Bystanders and store employees helped police track a retail theft ring to a home in Highland Park, according to detectives.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Amid a crackdown on organized retail theft, police on Thursday announced the arrest of four men believed to be involved in a brazen retail robbery.
The robbery occurred in the Highland Park area Wednesday around noon at a shoe and clothing store in the 6200 block of York Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A crew including three men and a woman stole more than $5,000 worth of swag, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
"The suspects removed over $5000 worth of shoes and clothing and fled from the business to their vehicle without paying for the items," according to the LAPD. "Store security and patrons provided the dispatcher at Communications Division with an excellent description of the suspects and their vehicle."

The description enabled police to track the suspects with the Air Support Division helicopter to a home in the 200 block of East 102nd Street in Watts, police said.
Shortly after, police arrived at the home and arrested the suspects as they were unloading the stolen items, the LAPD announced.

The suspects — 19-year-old Traveon Dun, 22-year-old Travon Nelson, 21-year-old Leon McCall, and 21-year-old Jeydy Salcedo, who were all arrested on suspicion of organized retail theft and booked with no bail. All four are Los Angeles residents.
The LAPD’s Organized Retail Theft Taskforce responded to assist with determining if the suspects are related to other organized retail thefts within the city.
