Winning Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Worth $245K Sold In LA County
There were no winners for the $565 million jackpot, but a ticket with five of the winning numbers was sold at an LA County liquor store.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A lottery player in Los Angeles County is holding a Mega Millions ticket worth $245,984 today, the California Lottery announced.
There were no winners for Tuesday's $565 million jackpot, but a ticket with five of the winning numbers was sold at a liquor store in Glendale. It was one of five tickets sold nationwide with all winning numbers but for the Mega number.
Los Angeles County's winning ticket was sold at the Ace Liquor at 1740 Victory Boulevard, according to the California Lottery. Other tickets with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, were sold at a gasoline station in Santa Maria, and in Florida, Georgia and Mississippi.

California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.
Because there were no tickets sold with all six numbers, the estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing will grow to $640 million.

The numbers drawn Tuesday were 9, 13, 36, 59, 61 and the Mega number was 11. The drawing was the 21st since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number are 1 in 302,575,350, according to the California Lottery. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.
