Witnesses Sought In Fatal Newport Beach Crash
One driver was killed and another seriously injured over the weekend at a busy Newport Beach intersection.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Authorities Monday sought witnesses to a fatal crash in Newport Beach over the weekend.
A two-car crash at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and Bowspirit Drive killed one driver and left a second in serious condition Saturday, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the police department received multiple calls about the crash.

"Officers arrived on scene and discovered the driver of one vehicle was deceased and the driver of the second vehicle had significant injuries," the police department said in a written statement. "The second driver was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment."
The identity of the driver killed in the crash is not being, pending identification by the Orange County Sheriff's Department Coroner Division.

The cause and circumstances of the collision are still under investigation. The Newport Beach
Police Department is seeking help from witnesses to the collision or anyone who can assist with
