Woman Jumps On Hood Of Fleeing Car To Try to Save Her Dog From Thieves
The thieves got away, and Los Angeles police are asking for help finding them and the stolen dog, a Frenchie named Onyx.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A woman jumped on the hood of a fleeing car in Downtown Los Angeles to try and save her French Bulldog from dognappers, but the thieves got away, police announced Tuesday. Now authorities are asking for help finding the culprits and reuniting the dog with its owner.
The dognapping occurred Jan. 18 at about 3:34 p.m. when the victim was dining on the patio of an eatery in the 800 block of South Gran Avenue in the Downtown area. She had her French Bulldog Onyx with her a woman approached and grabbed the dog, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"The victim chased after the suspect as she entered a white four-door sedan, which was driven by an additional suspect. The suspects fled in their vehicle southbound on Grand Avenue," according to a statement released by the LAPD. "The victim attempted to stop the suspects by jumping on the hood of the vehicle as it traveled southbound from the location."

The woman held on as the car fled south and later fell from the vehicle, sustaining minor injuries.
Firefighters treated her at the scene for minor abrasions.

The suspects got away with her dog.
The suspect who grabbed the dog was described as being in her mid 20s. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, purple sweatpants and black shoes.

The man driving the getaway car was described as a man in his 20s. They were last seen heading southbound on Grand Avenue in a white four-door Kia Forte.
