Another Body Found in Huntington Harbor

A kayaker found a body in Huntington Harbor tonight.

The grim discovery was made about 5 p.m., according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department was handling the investigation, police said.

It’s the second person found floating in the harbor in less than a month, and yet a third body was found in the water about a mile out from the entrance to the harbor earlier this week.

Authorities have not indicated any connection between the incidents.

Earlier this week, an unidentified and badly decomposed body of a middle aged man was found in the ocean about a mile outside the harbor entrance.

On Dec. 12 , a 27-year-old man who had attended a party at the harbor was found unconscious in the water and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
