Clancy's Bar Murder Suspect Arrested, Seal Beach Cops Say
He was found bleeding and unconscious behind Clancy's Bar in Seal Beach. Now, one has been arrested for assault charges leading to death.

SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach Police Department has arrested a suspect in the death of a resident from mid July according to recent release. On Wednesday morning, at approximately 3 a.m., police arrested Matthew Meier, a 32-year-old Seal Beach man on assault charges suspected of leading to the death of 46-year-0ld James Tinsman of Seal Beach.
Tinsman was found unconscious and bleeding behind Clancy's Bar on Main Street in Seal Beach on July 18.
"Mr. Tinsman was treated at the scene and transported to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center," Seal Beach Police Department Sgt. Michael Henderson said. "Mr. Tinsman later succumbed to his injuries."

Meier was arrested on charges of Assault by Means Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury according to Henderson.
"Seal Beach Police Detectives initiated a criminal investigation into the death of James Tinsman and identified Meier as the person responsible," Henderson said. "Meier is being held at the Orange County Jail."
