E-Bike Runs Down Elderly Woman In Seal Beach
The crash left the woman, who had been crossing the street in Seal Beach, with "major" injuries.
SEAL BEACH, CA — Seal Beach Police officers were investigating a serious traffic crash that happened Thursday afternoon.
The crash was reported near the intersection of Main Street and Ocean Avenue, when a juvenile riding a Surron electric bicycle hit an elderly woman who was crossing the street, according to the Seal Beach Police Department.
The woman sustained major injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to a local hospital.

The juvenile rider was not injured in the crash. The identity of the minor was not released.
The incident is being investigated by the Seal Beach Police Department Serious Traffic Accident Response (STAR) Team.
