Garden Grove House Fire: Cops Injured Attempting To Render Aid
Two police officers suffered smoke inhalation as they searched a burning home in Garden Grove, Tuesday.

GARDEN GROVE, CA ā Two Garden Grove police officers suffered smoke inhalation after they entered a burning Garden Grove home to see if anyone was inside, authorities said. Emergency responders rallied to the burning home on the 12000 block of Le Ann Drive at 7 a.m. Tuesday, and those officers were first on the scene.
"They attempted to make entry to search for residents, and were injured during that effort," Garden Grove Fire Capt. Thanh Nguyen said.
The officers were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and were listed in stable condition, he said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and damages were estimated at $100,000 to the structure and $25,000 to contents.
