Man Hit By Several Cars on PCH Identified

SUNSET BEACH, CA - 54-year-old man who was fatally struck by several vehicles as walked along a road in Sunset Beach was identified today by the Orange County coroner's office.

Gernaro Ruiz Sanchez was walking along Pacific Coast Highway when he was hit by several vehicles south of 20th Street about 10:35 p.m. Friday, according to the coroner's office.

Sanchez died at the scene, according to the coroner's office.

There was no immediate word on whether any of the drivers who struck Sanchez was cited or arrested.

The crash was being investigated by Huntington Beach police.
