• Fifth annual area Women's Conference returns (sunnews.org) — Women in Los Alamitos can soon register for the Elevate Women's Conference, returning October 7 to the Los Alamitos Community Center for a half‑day of workshops on purpose, resilience, and confidence. With limited $40 seats and no walk‑up registration, locals are urged to sign up early online or call the city's Recreation and Community Services Department for details.
   

• Lead Actor Job in 'Kid Frankenstein', All Genders, Age 18-35 (backstage.com) — Aspiring performers in Los Alamitos are invited to audition for a paid lead role in the musical "Kid Frankenstein," with rehearsals in Orange County and performances in Mammoth Lakes this fall. The nonunion production offers a $1,000 stipend, housing during the show run, and seeks local Southern California talent ages 18–35 of all genders.
