Police Seek Additional Victims of Alleged OC Child Molester
Police believe a man accused of molesting children in and around Huntington Beach over decades may have additional victims.

A 49-year-old man was behind bars today on an arrest warrant charging him with multiple felony counts of sexually assaulting children dating back to 1990, mostly in Huntington Beach, police said.
Martin Rodriguez Garcia was arrested in Las Vegas and extradited to Orange County yesterday, Huntington Beach police Officer Jennifer Marlatt said.
Garcia was charged in an arrest warrant with 19 felony counts including lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 years or younger, oral copulation or sexual penetration of a child 10 years or younger, aggravated sexual assault of a child with a foreign object as well as lewd or lascivious acts with a child younger than 14. The dates of the alleged incidents range from May 1990 through September 2006, according to court documents.

Police, however, said some of the assaults occurred through 2011, according to Marlatt.
Most of the incidents happened in Huntington Beach but there may have been others elsewhere in Orange County, Marlatt said. Investigators did not want to say which cities, she added.

The defendant had access to "several female victims" between the ages of 5 to 13, Marlatt said.
Investigators suspect there might be more victims and encouraged anyone with information to call detectives at (714) 375-5066.
Garcia, who was being held on $1.1 million bail, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday. He listed his occupation as "construction."
