Seal Beach Police Seek Man Who Tried to Lure Girl into Truck
Police are asking for help identifying a man who approached a girl in Old Town Seal Beach and asked her to get into his truck.

Seal Beach, CA - Seal Beach Police are asking for help identifying a suspicious man who attempted to lure a girl into his car.
The incident happened at approximately 2:45 P.M on April 15 on the 200 block of 16th Street.
āA male subject approached a female juvenile on foot as she walked to her residence on the 200 block of 16th Street,ā Seal Beach Police Department Sgt. Michael Henderson said in an email. āThe juvenile observed the suspect standing near a retaining wall, and as she drew closer he asked if she wanted to check out his new car and get into it. The subject was not standing near a vehicle, did not appear to have keys in hand, and did not motion toward any vehicle.ā

The girl turned around and headed to a neighboring house. She told police the man seemed to be following her before turning into an alley and getting into a gold, newer model, 2-door, Chevrolet truck parked near her house.
According to police the man is, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build, short black hair, a black mustache and a beard. He was wearing plain green t-shirt, navy blue sweatpants, and a silver wristwatch on his left wrist. He was carrying a clear purple reusable water bottle.
