Seal Beach Police Want You! For Volunteer Academy
Volunteer to serve your town on patrols, fleet services, special events and more.
SEAL BEACH, CA - The Seal Beach Police Department announced they are seeking people interested in its Volunteer in Police Services Academy.
Participants who complete the academy will assist the department in various ways, including volunteer patrols, fleet services, special events and more, according to SBPD Cpl. Brian Gray.
"Volunteers are an important part of our department and have been serving with distinction since 1997," Gray said.

Academy classes will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday in June, Gray said.
Every session is mandatory.

Anyone interested in participating was asked to call (562) 799-4100, ext. 1145 or go to police headquarters at 911 Seal Beach Blvd. and ask for an application.
An application can also be obtained by emailing Cpl. Gray at bgray@sealbeach.gov.
