Coroner IDs Los Gatos Man Killed In Thursday Crash
The accident happened at Short and Shannon roads.

A man killed in a solo car crash in Los Gatos early Thursday morning was identified today as 47-year-old Peter Kleis, the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office said.

The collision was reported near Shannon and Short roads around midnight, according to Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police.

Officers and firefighters found a vehicle off the road, with a driver in his 40s inside, police said.
The driver, later identified as Kleis, was pronounced dead of his injuries at the scene, according to police.

Kleis was a Los Gatos resident, according to the medical examiner’s office. The collision remains under investigation.
