Girl Scouts Of Northern California Receives $15,000 Donation
Named Beneficiary To Cupertino Rotary's 28TH Annual Golf Classic
The Rotary Club of Cupertino today announced plans to host their 28th Annual Golf Classic fundraising event and named the Girl Scouts of Northern California as this year’s beneficiary. The non-profit organization will receive $15,000 to support much needed specific renovation for Camp Hidden Falls, Santa Cruz Mountains, CA.
The proceeds will support the remodel of the kitchen at Camp Hidden Falls. With the damage to their primary location, Camp Skylark, from last year’s CZU Lightning Complex fire, the Girl Scouts have had to move their camping activities to a neighboring camp. The kitchen is currently not up to code and needs significant work to host potential resident camps in the future.
This project will prepare the kitchen to be ready for a primitive camping program this summer by replacing the refrigeration units and purchasing appropriate cookware for outdoor cooking.

Tucked away among the giant California Redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Camp Hidden Falls offers 90 acres of outdoor space where Girl Scouts can connect with nature, seek out challenges and adventures, engage in learn-by-doing activities, and build friendships and traditions.
“Summer camp is an important part of how Girl Scouts builds girls’ sense of sisterhood, confidence, and belonging. We’re thrilled to partner with the Cupertino Rotary to prepare Hidden Falls for summer camp programs.”
