The City of Malibu's Trancas Canyon and Charmlee Wilderness Parks will be closed Thursday, December 3, Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5 as a safety precaution due to Red Flag fire conditions. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued Red Flag Warning for most of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties from 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, to 6:00 PM on Friday, December 4 along the coast, and through 6:00 PM on Saturday, December 5, for the Santa Monica Mountains due to a forecast moderate to strong Santa Ana wind event and very low humidities. There is a chance that Red Flag conditions will continue through early next week. Northeast winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph are expected in canyons and hills with strongest winds expected on Thursday. Relative humidity will be 5% to 15%.
