Students with cumulative GPAs of 4.0 are named valedictorians at Mira Costa High School. This year, we salute 13 students. Check back in the coming days to read about their accomplishments, passions and college plans.
Joshua Ramos is one of 13 valedictorians at Mira Costa High for the 2011-2012 school year. According to his teacher Barry Smith, "Joshua has shown exemplary work and effort during his past four years here at MCHS. He has earned the grade of 'A' during all four years." A favorite among peers, staff "and anyone else Josh comes into contact with," Josh has participated in programs designed for students with "special needs." His program has consisted of practical life and daily living skills, including curriculum in practical math, reading, workability and appropriate social skills. "His enthusiasm becomes contagious as soon as you meet Josh for the first time," said Smith.
