• Golden Gate Bridge Seismic Retrofit Enters $864M Phase (sanfranciscopost.com) — If you drive from Marin City toward San Francisco, expect long-term overnight lane reductions on the Golden Gate Bridge as a $864 million seismic retrofit enters its final major phase. Starting Oct. 5, weeknight work will close some lanes but keep traffic flowing both directions while crews strengthen towers, side spans, and key structural connections through at least 2036. The goal is to keep the bridge usable after a major earthquake.
