A "despondent" 79-year-old Playa Del Rey man has been missing for nearly a week, and police on Tuesday renewed their appeal for public help to find him.
Charles Belden was last seen around 8:45 a.m. on July 12 in the 7800 block of West 80th Street, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.
"He has not returned home," Herrera said. "His family is extremely concerned for his welfare because he is despondent over health issues."

Belden is white with brown hair and eyes. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. The missing man was seen wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt and jeans. He is driving a silver 2001 Toyota Avalon with license plate number 4SYW633.
