Gunfire Report Today at Contra Costa Regional; Hospital Lockdown Now Lifted
Authorities did not find any proof of a shooting.

Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez was briefly locked down this afternoon because of gunfire reported nearby, a county health spokeswoman said.
Contra Costa Health officials posted at about 12:15 p.m. about the lockdown of the hospital at 2500 Alhambra Ave. and asked people to stay away from the area until further notice.
Contra Costa Health spokeswoman Victoria Balladares said the gunfire was reported on a hill above the hospital and not on the campus.

Balladares said the lockdown was lifted as of around 12:40 p.m. after authorities did not find any proof of a shooting.
