The school, located at 1600 Court St., was put on lockdown as a precaution, according to police. The suspect fled through the school grounds and was detained back in the neighborhood by interim police Chief Eric Ghisletta, who was in an unmarked police car.
Police identified the suspect as Derrick Spragan-Rubin. While searching the area, police found a backpack full of electronics and the homeowner identified them as having been taken in the burglary, police said.
