FREE Anti-Bully Workshops in Menlo Park

We're Done With Bullying! Are You? Time to be an Up-stander, and not a By-stander! Learn Awareness, Avoidance, & Assertiveness!

You’re invited to attend our FREE community Anti-Bullying Event aimed to help children of all ages overcome the negative impact of bullying. Students will learn how to identify bullying behavior, realistic ways to avoid being a target of bullying, and how to stop bullying behavior.

Our Commitment is to minimize the effects of bullying behavior in grade school and middle school-aged children. These workshops teach participants:

  • Awareness – How to identify predator behavior
  • Avoidance – Realistic ways to avoid being a target of bullying
  • Assertiveness – How to stop bullying behavior

Research shows that bullying peaks in the 5th, 6th and 7th grades. The goal of this program is to minimize the effects of predatory behavior in grade school and middle school-aged children. This will be accomplished through role playing, small group discussions and empathy training.

This event is recommended for children ages 6-16 with their parents. Different material is covered at each workshop, so it's recommended you attend both.

"Done With Bullying" workshop 1 is on Friday March 18th
"Done With Bullying" workshop 2 is on Friday April 1st

Both workshops are at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, 700 Alma Street in Menlo Park, in the Oak Room from 6:30-8:30pm. Space is limited for each of these workshops. For more info and to register for the workshops, please visit here: http://tinyurl.com/DWB-JAN2016

This is a Martial Arts Character Development Alliance (http://macda-inc.org/) sponsored event. A volunteer from local martial arts academy Kuk Sool Won™ of Menlo Park, recognized in 2015 by the City of Menlo Park as the community experts in helping to end bullying, will be presenting the workshops.
