The Menlo Park Library is hosting free workshop just for adults, in which participants will make and take home their own personally-created body scrub lotion.

During the workshop, which will take place at 6:30 on Tuesday, April 5 at the Main Library, located at 800 Alma Street, adults will learn how to create inexpensive body scrubs at home, and each participant will leave with an 8-ounce jar of their own special creation.

No reservations are needed for this program, but space & supplies limited to the first 25 attendees. This free event is made possible by contributions to the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.

The class will be led by Lori Stoia, who has been showing students how to create their own bath and body products since 2004. She's held her classes for organizations including the College of San Mateo, Michael's Arts & Crafts, Palo Alto Adult School, Redwood City Parks & Recreation, and Sunnyvale-Cupertino Adult Education. She contributes to her own blog, “Homemade Bath Products,” at homemadebathproducts.blogspot.com.

Lori says, “what I try to bring to my class is a social and fun learning experience. I make the projects simple to encourage the students to actually make the products at home.”
