Menlo College Professor and Students Raise Funds for Syrian Refugees
Menlo College Professor Marar Yacobian, her Diversity in the Workplace class, and students on campus are raising funds for Syrian Refugees.

Dr. Marianne Marar Yacobian with her Diversity in the Workplace class, members of the Black Student Union and students campus-wide are raising funds and awareness for the Syrian Refugee crisis.
They’ve partnered with the International Rescue Committee to aid in Grassroots efforts to alleviate the pain and suffering of Syrian refugees. Nearly five years after the outbreak of war, the International Rescue Committee has helped more than 3 million Syrian refugees and internally displaced people to recover and rebuild their lives. They provide medical and other critical aid, ensure refugees have access to legal counseling, and help women and girls who are victims of violence.
Dr. Yacobian and her students mobilized in honor of Aylan Kurdi, his brother Galip Kurdi, and the countless children who’ve suffered because too many good people stayed silent. Today, they stand in solidarity with peace and justice, which transcends artificial borders.
